Sonos Ace

Hands on: From our time with the so far, the Sonos Ace are premium-feeling headphones with glorious sound quality – and their trick of switching instantly to work with the Sonos Arc instead of Bluetooth is very nice… if you have that soundbar. The lack of support for the Sonos ecosystem otherwise feels like unrealized potential, but they're hard to fault for the overall feature list.

The Ace are a contender in a crowded market, but they’re still in search of that magic bullet to truly let them stand out from the pack. As first as generation products go, however, Sonos delivers on their commitment to great-sounding products.

Hands on: The TV Audio Swap feature does make a lot of sense, and people will appreciate it. But not everyone owns a Sonos Arc soundbar, so I'm curious to see how the feature goes over with Sonos users at launch. I have a feeling that, like Sonos' new revamped app, the headphones might have a few kinks to work out, especially when it comes to the TV Audio Swap feature.

Hands on: Our initial hands-on time with the Sonos Ace is promising, with high points for the design and features at this premium price, but we need more time with the headphones to fully assess sound quality, noise-cancelling and the Sonos-specific features.
